Evelyn Macaulay Gray

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Gray. She passed peacefully after a short illness on May 11, 2022 at Mackenzie Health Hospital. Evelyn is has gone to rest with her parents Margaret and Archibald, and her sister Pearl.

Evelyn will be remembered as a loving person who was devoted to her extended family and her close friends. Evelyn had a passion for gardening and very proud of the many trophies and awards for her green thumb and skills. She enjoyed chatting with her many neighbours, and sharing her gardening knowledge. Also, an avid quilter, she enjoyed the many social hours spent sewing with the quilting guilds. In her spare time, she loved to travel, both near and far, visiting friends, vacationing in the provinces across Canada, and exploring countries over the pond, especially her beloved Scotland.

Lovingly survived by, her sister Linda (late brother-in-law Lloyd) and brother Dave (Paula), her niece Marion (Wolfgang) and son Alex, nephew Robert (Meghan) and children Verety and Zarah, niece Patricia, nephew David, step-niece Maria (Byron). She will be terribly missed by the family especially during the holidays at the meals she loved to hold and prepare.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 20, 2022 from 4-7pm. Funeral services will take place on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 10:30am at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home in Thornhill.
