At the age of 96, went to be with her Lord, October 3, 2019 in Toronto.

Jean was born in Outremont, Quebec to Harold and Elsie Smith on February 8, 1923.

Jean is survived by her son, David of Toronto, daughter Nancy (Jim) Little, son Peter

(Debra). Jean was loving grandma to Graham (Sheri), Bryan (Paula) and Cameron

(Jennifer) Little. Victoria (Eric) Laval, Stephanie (Connor) Crumplen, Caroline (Bryan).

Great grandma to Quintin, Sarah, Isabelle, Adrienne, Rachel and Blake. Jean is

preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Douglas Mackey, her parents and four

brothers, Ronald, Eric, Keith and Gordon.

Friends may call at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south

of Steeles) on October 11 th from 1200-1:00pm. Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in

the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin

Mills Rd, Richmond Hill, Ontario. Memorial donations, in remembrance of Jean, may

be made to Gideons International in Canada, through the funeral home or via

Michael Garron Hospital for their kind care of mom. Special thanks to Harry Whyte for

leading moms service and Linda Swartzentruber who will be playing some of mom’s

favourite hymns during the service.
