It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of the late Elisabeth Dassinger of Toronto, who lived to the stunning age of 98.
Elisabeth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother mostly known as Oma Dassinger.
Oma loved to socialize and was an active member of the Donauschwaben Club in Toronto for many years, volunteering in the ladies auxiliary enjoyed dancing at the many events. She enjoyed gong to her cottage at the Donauschwaben Park and loved to make and eat good food for her family and play cards. She made an excellent Nuss Torte and Elisabethschnitten, and yummy cookies at Christmas every year (Honig Busel, Vanille Kipferl) to name a few. She made amazing homemade pickles and fantastic potatoes, hands-down the best we’ve ever had!
Oma was loved dearly by those who knew her and will be missed greatly.
She leaves behind her granddaughter Michelle, son-in-law Ghattas (Gus) and her great-grandson Georgie.
