Edward Williamson

Son of the late Annabella & Albert Williamson, Teddy was beloved husband of the late Devina Park Williamson (nee Rae), Father of Linda Pirone and Denis Williamson as well as the late Leslie and Grant Williamson, Grandfather to Donna Pirone, Trina Pirone, Wendy Moffat, Mark Williamson, Niki Rae, Kerry Williamson and Laura Towler and proud Great-grandfather of Connor, Toni & Jake Moffat, Jack, Alfie & Mollie Williamson, Aidan & Sebastian Rae, Morgan & Lexie Towler, Emily Williamson, Natasha, Nikita & Jakob Mobbs.

A decorated war veteran who served in South East Asia, Teddy was well known for his physical strength and his bravery whether on the front lines of Burma or serving as artillery in the bombers. Teddy's love of music and dance was apparent to all who met him. Wherever he would go, there was rarely a second that would go by without him humming, singing or dancing to a tune in his head, with that mischievous twinkle in his eye and a grin from ear to ear. Teddy was an inspiration and a joy to all who met him.

A celebration of Teddy's life will be held at Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding south of Steeles) on Saturday February 15, 2014, visitation at 2pm and service at 3pm. Private interment will follow in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be most appreciated to Teddy's choice of charity, the Poppy Fund.
