Larry was predeceased by his beloved wife of over 65 years, Moira, in April, 2021. He leaves behind son Victor (Gail) and daughter Marianne Robertson (Jamie) and grandchildren Christopher (Xheni), Jessica (Kevin) and Kate (Tyson).
Larry was a dedicated family doctor in Bayview Village for over 50 years. He served as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at North York General Hospital from 1976 to1978, and was Medical Director at Sheppard Terrace for 35 years. He was instrumental in setting up the North York Seniors Health Centre, and served as Program Director there for several years. In 1977 he was awarded the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal for his contributions of medical care to the community.
Larry loved his garden, the Detroit Tigers, his dogs (especially Freddie and Bo), and golf. He was a proud member of Rosedale Golf Club for over 70 years, enjoying his Thursday afternoon doctors' foursomes or games with his family.
We will miss his wry sense of humour and his fountain of knowledge.
A private ceremony is being held.
