Andre "Andy" Marinos

After a hard fight and courageous battle with cancer, Andre “Andy” Marinos, husband, dedicated father of three, and friend to many passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2023 at the age of 51 in Vaughan, Ontario.

Andy was born in Toronto, Ontario and later moved to Sutton where he lived and thrived as a young man and made lifelong friends. After relocating to Toronto, he married Garine “Renee” Sayadian, and they spent nearly twenty years together as they built their family.

Andy was predeceased in death by his grandparents Andrew (Papou) and Dionisia (Yia Yia), who raised him and whom he deeply cherished. He is survived by Renee, their children Aaren & Ava and his first born son Darien. His cousins, Giota and Peter (Lisa) who were like siblings to him and their three children.

Andy loved his children more than anything else in the world. He took such joy in his children’s interests and hobbies, and always made sure to participate in each of their favourite things. Andy would often be found cheering Aaren on at the hockey rink, spending one on one time with Ava, or fishing on a lake with Darien. Aaren’s compassion for others and Ava’s kind heart has been a source of pride for Andy for as long as he could remember. His oldest son, Darien, has grown into a young man for whom Andy has the utmost respect. There is no doubt that Andy’s unending love for this three children was the driving force behind his courage and determination to fight this disease for as long as he did. He showed us his unwavering strength and passion for life during his battle with cancer.

Andy was taken from us far too early. He will be forever missed by his friends, family, and mostly, his three incredible children. He loved life so purely and had such a vibrant presence, may he live in our hearts and memories forever.

There will be one day visitation/service held on Monday, February 13th, 2023:

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

and

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

At 6:00 pm there will be a service to honour the life of Andy followed by drinks/food in the upstairs hall at:
