Akiko 'Aki' Ide

Passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at the age of 85 after a battle with cancer.

Predeceased by her husband, Henry, her daughter, Donna Wilson, her sisters Hideko Kagetsu, Eiko Kagetsu, Kim Takahashi, Sachi Hyodo and her husband, Mas, and brothers Hiroshi Kagetsu, Haj Kagetsu, Akira Kagetsu and Jack Kagetsu. Very sadly missed by her Carolyn and Alvin Suehiro, Valerie and Ron Carroll, John Wilson. Loving grandmother of Laura and Vanessa Wilson and Jennifer and Robbie Suehiro. Survived by sister, Tak Huang, sisters-in-law Vi Kagetsu, Elsie Kagetsu and Kay Kagetsu and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Monday, February 4, 2008 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 11:00 am at Lansing United Church (49 Bogert Avenue, North York). Private interment at Glendale Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Grateful thanks to the caring staff at Sunnybrook. We will all miss Aki very much and are comforted to know she is now at peace.
