Denton - William Harold Parrish, age 60, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at his home. He was born in Thomasville, NC, on July 2, 1962, the son of Willard Reece Parrish Sr. and Lois Lee Parrish.
William served as a Sergeant in the United States Coast Guard and the Army Guard until 1991. On October 2, 2003, he married Patricia Diane Yates. He was employed by Thomasville Furniture for 28 years until they closed. William loved to fish and enjoyed spending time at the beach. William and Patricia took many vacations to the coast and were looking forward to another trip for their upcoming 20th wedding anniversary. He also loved being with his grandchildren.
William is survived by his wife, Patricia Parrish; three children; four step-children; three grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; mother, Lois Parrish; brother, Reece Parrish (Heather); sister, Terri Sprinkle (Gregg); and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Reece Parrish Sr.; and his sister, Dennie Dehart.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations of Thomasville, with Rev. Roger Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the funeral home.
