A resident of this area all of his life, Bill was born on January 10, 1936 in Davidson County, NC to the late John Marion and Flora Isabella Smith Hardison. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah’s Witness in Thomasville and was dedicated to reading his Bible and could quote many scriptures.
Bill took extra time to get to know all of his neighbors and enjoyed making people laugh. He especially enjoyed watching western movies, gardening, and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Robin Hardison and Michael Hardison; and two sisters, Dorothy Potts and Mary Thompson.
Surviving are his wife, Hilda Leonard Hardison of the home; daughter, Gayle Lowder and husband Roy of Trinity; sons, Tracy Hardison and wife Gina of Thomasville and Danny Hardison and wife Debbie of Kernersville; sisters, Nancy Cavin, Thelma Fitzgerald, and Luomi Creel; brother, Johnny Hardison; and fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, September 12, 2016 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Elder Mike Greaser officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Elder David Batten officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 pm Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Thomasville Funeral Home.
