Virginia Nealey Norris

Virginia was born on January 11, 1940 to Tillon and Myrtie Nealey in Columbus County, North Carolina. Her favorite part of life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She could always be found cooking for family dinners on Sunday and putting a smile on everyone’s face. She loved making precious memories with her family and friends and will always be remembered for fun-loving and caring spirit.

She was preceded in death by her son Rex Norris; and seven brothers and sisters.

Virginia is survived by her husband, John “Havie” Norris; sons, Mark Norris (Shelli), Kent Norris (Lynn), Rocky Norris (Lisa); daughter Ginny Blair (Brent); Grandchildren Brian Norris (Scarlett), Justin Frank (Rachel), T.J. Norris (Cayce), Ben Norris, Sydney Norris, Connor Blair, Brooke Blair, Victoria Norris and Tillon Norris; great-grandchildren Caleb Greene, Reagan Norris, Aubrey Frank, Rae Frank, Elizabeth Frank, and Lottie June Norris; and siblings Linda, Geraldine, and Roy.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Thomasville Funeral Home at 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC 27360. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.

Memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. The family would like to send a special thank you to Hospice of Davidson County, Dr. Sessoms, and Susan Payne for their care during this difficult time.
