Rebecca "Becky" Brown, 74, went to be with her Lord Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Hospice Home at High Point following a brief illness.
Becky was born in High Point, January 28, 1948, a daughter of the late Sanford and Clara Caviness Ball. She was a founding member of Colonial Baptist Church of Trinity, she went on several mission trips, served on the bereavement committee and lead Love, Laugh and Move On. Becky traveled the United States as a military wife and especially loved Hawaii. She enjoyed living in the Village at Providence Place in High Point where she made numerous friends.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, SSG William "Bill" Brown; and six siblings, Sanford Ball, Jr., Dorothy Owens, Wilma Metters, Frances Tucker, Geraldine Collins and Vernon Ball.
Surviving are a daughter, Nyoka "Nokie" King and her husband Billy; a son, Jeff Brown and his wife Emma; a sister, Barbara Bennett and her husband Jerry; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren (and one on the way); numerous nieces and nephews who all had a very special place in her heart. A very special thank-you to her niece, Tammy Lambert, who cared for Becky on numerous occasions.
A Home Going service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Colonial Baptist Church by Pastor Mark Hollar. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 2 until 3 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont.
