Melissa "Missy" Dawn Green Stamey

Missy was born in Asheboro on October 30, 1966, to Donald Leroy and Dreama Daniel Green. Missy had worked as a sewer at STN Cushions in Thomasville. She liked to crochet in her spare time.

She is survived by her parents, Donald and Dreama Green; husband, Robert “Sherrill” Stamey; brothers, Donald Wayne Green & wife Christy of Thomasville, and Brian William Green & wife Sunni of Texas; nieces and nephews, Becca, Abby, Hannah & Matthew Green of Thomasville, and Faith & Logan Green of Texas; great niece, Sophia of Thomasville; grandparents, Bea & Mary Daniel; aunts, Myrtle Daniel, Lily Goodin and Eva B. Kivett; her special canine friend, Buttons; and many loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 20, 2020, at Hughes Grove Baptist Church in Thomasville. Missy will lie in state in the sanctuary of the church from 1:00 pm until the beginning of the funeral service. Interment will follow in Hughes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
