Mary loved taking care of her family and anyone else who needed her. She was an amazing woman. No one left her home hungry or in need. She loved and gave generously of herself to her family and her community. She loved to work in her yard and really loved to fish.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Donna Kennedy and husband Gene, Sheila Smith and husband Carl and Angela Trull and husband Wayne; her brother, Grant Noah and wife Janice; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Varner; her daughter, Mary Woody and husband Jimmy; sister, Joanne Long; brother, George Noah Jr.; and grandson, Billy Kennedy.
A funeral service will be held at Hughes Grove Baptist Church, 547 Hughes Grove Church Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360, on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations of Thomasville, 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC 27360.
In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County.
