Mark had a love for music and enjoyed playing his guitar as well as the banjo. He loved to tinker and was known to many as a jack-of-all-trades. Mark also did taxidermy as a hobby for many years. Mark spent his entire career as a fire fighter. He started in the fire department as a junior firefighter, retired from Fair Grove Fire Department and was a current Battalion Chief on the Thomasville Fire Department. Mark loved his family and the fire department. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Mark is survived by the mother of his children, Rhonda Lynn Lewis; two children, Amber Holt, Dakota Holt and fiancée Brandi Monk; parents, Billy Holt, Sr. and wife Donna Fullington Holt; two grandchildren, Kholeson and Adalynn; one brother, Bill Holt, Jr. and wife Tonya.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church, 222 Mt Zion Church Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360, with Pastor Luke Jackson officiating. Interment with fireman's rites will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
