Lucy Belle Hunt Tysinger

Lucy Belle Hunt Tysinger, age 101, of Thomasville, NC, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. She was born December 25, 1921, a daughter of the late Troy Elwood and Nancy Carricker Hunt.

Lucy was a devoted member of Oak Hill Memorial Baptist Church. She loved going on Jessie Hill tours and enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, and watching game shows. Most of all she loved God and her children.

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by son, James Tysinger; daughter, Peggy Mainor; grandchildren, Theresa and James Allen; and siblings Annie, Tobias, Luna, Caroline, Troy, Ezra, and Crammer.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Joe Tysinger (Janice); grandchildren, Debbie, Joe, Tony, Danny, David; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Libb Hunt and Ruth Hunt.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Oak Hill Memorial Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service at 1:00 PM.
