Linda was born on September 16, 1954 in New Bedford, MA to the late William D. Miles and Frances Hartley Spano. Linda had a very strong faith and love for God. She was a devoted and faithful member of Wayside Tabernacle Freewill Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed going to the beach and taking family trips. She cherished her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Surviving is her husband, Danny Phillips of the home; daughters, Kim Edwards and her husband Anthony of Denton, Terra Boles and her husband Steve of Lexington, and Kelly McHone and her husband Wayne of Thomasville; step-daughters, Kimberly Yarbrough of Trinity and Angel Phillips of Walnut Cover; her grandchildren, Chelsea, Alley, Peyton, Jonathan, Dawson, Noah, Harper, Evan, Jayden, and Sierra; sister, Sharon Owens and her husband George of High Point; brothers Brad and Kenneth Miles of Burlington; and her step mother, Lula Miles. Also surviving are nieces, Shannon, Krista, Kerri, Connie, and Ashleigh; nephews, Juan, Chad, Brian, James, and Anthony; great nieces, Callie, Summer, Elizabeth, KayCee, and Lissa; great nephews, Daylan, Seth, Cameron, and Ashton; as well as several cousins.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 2 pm Friday in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Rev. Jimmy Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
