Kenneth Wayne Carlisle Sr.

A resident of this area all of his life, Kenneth was born on April 30, 1967 in Guilford County to James and Nancy Stanley Carlisle, Sr. He had worked for A&D Environmental and was a member of Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church. Kenneth loved working on cars and helping others.

Surviving are his parents, James and Nancy Carlisle, Sr. of Thomasville; his son, Kenneth Wayne Carlisle Jr. and his wife Christina of Whiteville, NC; his grandchildren, Alexis Carlisle, Nicholas Carlisle, and Kenneth Wayne “Trey” Carlisle III; and his brother, James Carlisle Jr. and his wife Michelle of Thomasville. Also surviving are his niece Misty Carlisle Sexton and her husband Joshua of Thomasville; his nephews, Nathan Carlisle and Trent Carlisle and his wife Ashley; Aunts and Uncles, Helen and George Stanton of Rockingham, Sarah and Boot Benton of Laurel Hill, Linda Williams of Thomasville, Brenda and Furman Merrill of Thomasville, Anna Saunders of Thomasville, and Donald and Susie Carlisle of Hamlet.

A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held at 2 pm Thursday in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph St., with Rev. William Hutchins Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
