Kathleen S Hughes

Mrs. Kathleen "Kat" Scarlett Hughes, 95, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Pelican Health of Thomasville following several years of declining health.

Kat was born in Davidson County, July 3, 1925, a daughter of the late L. C. and Ila Crouse Scarlett. She worked at the former Leach's Curb Market for many years. Kat was a member of Westfield Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Hughes; five siblings, Leon Scarlett, Odessa Scarlett, Stella Mae Hill, Hazel Turner, and Roy Scarlett.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Westfield Baptist Church, Trinity with Jackie Johnson officiating. Friends may pay their respects Thursday from 2pm until 5pm at Thomasville Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County or the charity of the donor's choice.
