Karen Hall Chambers, age 78, of Thomasville, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Karen was born in Thomasville, North Carolina, April 15, 1946, the daughter of the late Bill and Evelyn Crayton Hall. Karen retired as a registered nurse for over 30 years from High Point Regional Hospital, where she received the most prestigious award given to a nurse for being remarkable. She was a member of the Lady of the Highway Catholic Church, where she taught Sunday School and was teacher of the year; in addition to being a Eucharistic Minister.
She had a big heart full of love and compassion. An angel is what everyone knew Karen to be as she was the true definition of faith, family, and love. Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Preceded in Karen's death are her husband of 32 loving years, Charles "Mickey" Chambers; a daughter, Debbie Chambers Miller; and two brothers, Ronald Hall and Johnny Hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Chambers; two granddaughters, Hannah Chambers and Jaylin Allen; a bonus granddaughter, Allison Croft and bonus grandson, Raylan Elbertson; her brother, Thomas Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place for Karen on Thursday September 12, 2024, at Our Lady of the Highways Catholic Church, 943 Ball Park Rd, Thomasville, NC, at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Father Gabriel.
The family will receive friends Wednesday September 11, 2024 at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
