Judy was born October 24, 1940 in Randolph County; a daughter of the late Kenneth Davenport and Jesse Cross. Before retiring, Judy worked at Westanna Assisted Living in Lexington, NC for over 10 years. Judy believed every household needed a Bible. She regularly attended JSM Media Church. She was a God fearing woman who loved her family dearly.
Judy loved watching sports, especially golf, but nothing beat her games shows! She loved Tony Stewart, drinking Coca Cola, and collecting all types of Coca Cola memorabilia. Judy was known for her spunky personality, generous heart, and the way she always put others above herself. Whether offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or words of encouragement, Judy's selflessness touched countless lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Oliver Dotson, and her daughter, Martha Gail McDaniel. Despite the heartbreak of these losses, Judy remained a strong and joyful presence in the lives of those who survive her, a son Richard Dotson (Darlene) and a sister Sara Walker (Kirby), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Celebration of Judy's life will be held Saturday March 29, 2025 at Holly Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sechrest-Davis of Thomasville from 9:30 a.m- 10:30 a.m. prior to service.
