Mr. Clodfelter was born in Davidson County, June 12, 1920, a son of the late Charlie Lee Clodfelter and Augusta Bowers Clodfelter. He retired from Kayby Mills and was an avid gardener and loved his dogs. John was the oldest living member of Rich Fork Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Judith Clodfelter; a grandson, Jeremy Baldwin; a brother, Archie Clodfelter and a sister, Ree Dolan.
Surviving are his wife of 75 years, Nona Beauchamp Clodfelter; three daughters, Barbara Albertson and husband Paul, Carol Baldwin and Pamela Presson and husband Stephen; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Rich Fork Baptist Church by the Pastor Michael Bowers. Burial will be private.
