Jerry Don Alford

A resident of this area all of his life, Jerry was born on August 20, 1942 in Davidson County, a son to the late Allie McDowell and Voyd Homer Alford. For over 46 years he had worked as a Master Craftsman at Thomasville Furniture Industries, where he was certified in unlimited bondage and unlimited voltage. He was a dedicated lifetime member of the NRA and enjoyed playing guitar. Most of all, he adored his wife, Pat Alford and together they shared over 58 wonderful years of marriage.

Surviving are his wife, Pat Gordon Alford of the home; and son, Shane Alford and wife Tina of the home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 8 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home with Rev. Bynum Orr officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Thursday June 7 at Thomasville Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Kathy and Mike Biddy for their love and care provided to Jerry during his time of sickness.
