Mr. Rose was born on December 4, 1935 in Tazewell to the late Robert and Mary Booth Rose. For many years, he had worked as a truck driver hauling gravel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Carl Rose.
Surviving are his wife, Estelle Reynolds Rose of the home; children, Sharon Gail Hedgecock and husband James of Thomasville, Mary Jane Crigger and husband Scottie of Lexington, Jeff Rose and wife Janie of Clinchcoe, VA, Tom Rose and wife Patricia of Thomasville, and Jamie Rose and wife Nicole of Trinity; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, April 28, 2017 in the mausoleum chapel of Grandview Memory Gardens, 38659 Governor G C Peery Hwy, Bluefield, VA 24605. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the hour of the service in the mausoleum chapel.
