Gregory Jay Peterson, 68, a loving, kind, and humble man, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 17th, 2023. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to his family.
Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Greg grew up in a household instilled with the values of resilience, determination, and hard work by depression-era parents, Howard Raymond Peterson and Jean Helen Ogilvie Peterson. These values shaped his character and influenced his approach to life. He carried these values throughout his life, using them as a compass to navigate challenges and achieve success.
Above all, Greg was a family man who adored his loved ones with all his heart. His family was the center of his universe, and he treasured every moment spent with them. His unwavering love, support, and guidance were constants in their lives, and his presence brought joy and comfort to those around him.
A dedicated and hardworking individual, Greg poured his heart and soul into everything he did. A graduate of The University of Buffalo, Greg worked at Piedmont Packaging as a design manager in the furniture industry for over 30 years. There was no project he could not handle. He was stubborn, believed in the power of perseverance, and never shied away from a challenge. His unwavering commitment to providing for his family was evident in the sacrifices he made and the countless hours he spent to ensure their well-being.
He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted wife of 32 years, Stephanie; his children, Lisa Marie and her husband, Mark; Gregory Thomas and his wife, Jessie; his sister, Cindy; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Henry, and another grandson, Gregory Richard, on the way.
Greg was a source of guidance, love, and inspiration. He cherished his role as a parent and took great pride in watching his family grow and succeed. His unwavering love and support created a nurturing environment that allowed his family to flourish. Greg's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his beloved family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit of love, kindness, and humility will continue to inspire those touched by his presence. He was the compass of our lives.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
