Mrs. Frances Powell Johnson, 87, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Frances was born in Davidson County, September 28, 1930, a daughter of the late Herman Lee Powell and Mary Elizabeth Leonard Powell. She and her husband, Billy Ray Johnson, ran Bill Johnson Floor Covering for many years.
Surviving are close family members, Wilma Baird; Donna Hill and husband Jerry; Angela Sowers and Charlie; Jami and Taylor Sowers. Of the home, her cats Mitzi, Little One, Sissie and all the cats in the cat house.
Frances loved meeting and helping others. She loved her family most of all. She was a caregiver for her mother, father, husband and brother. She always wanted to feel needed, which she definitely was.
She loved all animals, especially feral cats, and gave homes to more than 20 at different times throughout her life.
Frances and her brother Raymond were always so close, and after his death, she still talked to him as her guardian angel. Frances was never depressed and always upbeat about her life.
We as a family do not want to let her go, and neither do her cats, because she was our angel on earth, and now she is God’s angel in Heaven.
Your family will miss you for now, but we will be together again one day in Heaven. Love you always!
A graveside service will be held Monday at 3 pm at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery by Pastor Ryan Mendenhall. Memorials may be directed to feralcatassistance.org Online condolences may be made at thomasvillefh.com.
