A resident of this area all of his life, David was born on March 18, 1960 in Davidson County to the late Robert Lester Lee, Sr. and Frances Thomas Lee. David was a hardworking man, having worked for Parkdale Mills for many years. Although he was a man of few words, he could always bring a smile to your face by cracking one of his corny jokes or by telling one of his stories. His grandson, Avery David Lee, was the light of his life and brought out the best in him.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Lee and two brothers, John Lee and Robert Lee, Jr.
Surviving are his children, Cindy Lee, Holly Lee, and Tracy Lee, all of Thomasville; grandson, Avery David Lee; and siblings, Bill Lee and wife Tammie, Mary Gray, Tom Lee, Tonya Prince and husband Hank, Diane Turner, and Barbara Lee.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
