THOMASVILLE – Dalton “Wayne” Hepler, age 77, died on September 6, 2022. He was born in Davidson County, NC, on February 13, 1945, to Fred Reece Hepler and Ellen Skeen Hepler.

Wayne graduated from East Davidson. He loved NASCAR, The Atlanta Braves, North Carolina Basketball, and riding through the countryside.

Wayne is survived by his significant other, Linda Ramsey; his three children, Ken Hepler and wife Rene, Angela Jarrett and husband Joel, Melissa Brady and husband Cameron; eight grandchildren, Brooke, Brad, Ryan, Josh, Justin, Eric, Austin and Lexie; and five great grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC 27360, on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm at the funeral home.
