Alicia was born on December 23, 1953 to Raymond and Alice Arnold Simpson in Suffolk County, New York.
She worked as a truck driver for nearly all of her life, with many of her friends lovingly referring to her as their “Allie” Mom.
Preceding her in death are her parents, son, Lucas Edward Franchi and brother Edward Simpson. Left to cherish her memories are her son Joseph Franchi, daughter-in-law Wendy Franchi; daughter, Allie Franchi and Jay Katchum Jr.; grandchildren, Avery Franchi, Mollie Franchi, Joseph Franchi, Edward Franchi, Cheyenne Franchi, Charlie Hunt, Suzanna Hunt, Colton Hunt and Savannah “Lukie” Ketchum; brothers, Raymond Simpson and Bruce Simpson as well as a host of friends that she also considered her children.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Thomasville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Thomasville Funeral Home is honored to serve the Simpson family. Online condolences may be made at www.thomasvillefh.com.
