Loving dad of Kristin (Albert) Zambito of Williams Bay, WI and Todd Schramm of Cedarburg, WI. Proud papa of John, Thomas and Marcella Zambito. Dear son-in-law of Dorothy V. Thimmesch and the late Charles G. Thimmesch. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Gertrude Schramm. Also survived by Loie (Jim) Delligatti, along with other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 3 PM on Thursday June 13, 2013 at St. Francis Borgia Church, 1375 Covered Bridge Rd, Cedarburg, WI 53012. Interment St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at the church from 1 PM until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers Mass Offering or memorials to Marquette University High School, appreciated. Tom was born Dec. 3, 1944 in Milwaukee, the only child of Elmer and Gertrude Schramm. He graduated in 1963 from Whitefish Bay High School, where he was an outstanding player on the varsity basketball team for three years and also was part of the track team. He was awarded a basketball scholarship to Valparaiso University where he graduated in 1968 with a degree in Education. After college Tom taught at the Jr. High level in Milwaukee. Tom married Mary Joan Thimmesch in 1973. They moved to Cedarburg in 1974 and bought their first home on the famous "Hickory Street". Tom was active in Jaycees and Mary belonged to the Jaycettes. He received a masters degree in Educational Administration in 1975 from Marquette University. Mary and Tom's first child, Kristin, was born in 1978. Tom and Mary moved to Stevens Point where Tom was a vice principle at P.J. Jacobs Jr. High from 1978-1980. The Schramm's made another move to Milton, WI where Tom became the principle of the new Milton Middle School in 1980. Tom and Mary's second child, Todd, was born in 1980. In 1983 he began a new career in business, when he was hired by Beckley-Cardy school supply company to cover the Milwaukee Public Schools and southeast Wisconsin suburban school districts. The Schramm's moved back to Cedarburg in 1984. Kristin and Todd attended St. Francis Borgia grade school where Tom and Mary became very active in volunteering. Tom was a member of the School Board, Athletic Association, Co-chaired the Auction from the Heart and coached Kristin's 6th grade basketball team and coached Todd's 6,7,8th grade basketball teams to three consecutive championships. School Specialty Company bought out Beckley-Cardy in 1998, however Tom continued servicing the same school districts. He retired in 2009.
