Richard P. Curry of Thiensville passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Doris Curry. Loving father of Ginny (George) Courtis of Thiensville, Tom (Kim) of Leawood, KS, Pat (Jeff) Rankins of The Villages, FL, and Janet (Jeff) Melzer of Decatur, IL. Proud grandfather of Leah, John, and David Courtis, Jacque (Kevin) Moore, Abby and Shannon Curry, Jillian Rankins, and Marisa Moomey. Dear brother of Mildred Bennett of Ohio, and the late Robert Curry and the late Dorothy Symancyk. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Born on Sept. 13, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in New York City, NY, Richard married Doris V. Hush in New York City on Sept. 30, 1942, before leaving for The Phillipines where he proudly served as a First Lieutenant in the U. S. Army during World War II. Upon discharge from the Army, Richard returned to work in New York City, and was later transferred to Chicago. Richard, Doris and the family moved from Milwaukee to Thiensville in 1959. He retired as a midwest territory salesman after 35 years with Jenkins Bros. Valves.

Private services were held at Lumen Christi Catholic Church. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery. The Schramka-Densow Funeral Home assisted the family.
