The family of Mr. Weldon H. Umlang will receive friends from 6 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening, December 15, 2022 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. His nephew, Justin Coffey, will officiate and the Houston Fire Department will be present to honor Weldon's years of service as a firefighter. John Wayne Umlang, Scott Lucky, Randy Green, Brian Green, Mason Umlang, and Brian Seale will serve as pallbearers.
Weldon passed away December 12, 2022 at his residence in Conroe, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born February 24,1937 in Schulenburg, Texas to Julius Otto and Martha (Dahm) Umlang. He was 85 years of age.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Frank and Blossom Long.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 63 years, Gloria (Long) Umlang of Conroe, Texas; one daughter, Brenda Green and husband Randy of Conroe, Texas; one son, John Wayne Umlang and wife Andrea of Willis, Texas; four grandchildren, Brian Green and wife Devin of Conroe, Texas, Tammy Seale and husband Brian of Houston, Texas, Kayla Dunaway of Willis, Texas, and Mason Umlang of Willis, Texas; four great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; two nieces; numerous cousins (near and far); and many dear friends from Houston County Lake and the Houston Fire Department-City of Houston.
