Tom F. Lightfoot

He was born in Desdemona, Texas, on June 5, 1926.

Tom graduated from Smithville High School and received an Agricultural Education degree from Southwest Texas State Teachers College.

He was married to Rowena Buckner Lightfoot on July 18, 1949.

Tom had a career in Railroad Engineering for Missouri Katy Texas Railroad. He was a US Navy WW2 Veteran. He had a passion for his family, loved working on cars, traveling, and playing free cell.

He was survived by his sister, Mary Beth; his two sons, Tommy and Clyde Lightfoot; grandchildren, Ivan and Wendy Lightfoot, Josh and Julie Lightfoot, Ryan Lightfoot, Tracy and Jason Boeker, and Dylan Lightfoot; great-grandchildren: Noah, Caleb and Alli Lightfoot, Jake, Wyatt and Grayson Boeker, and Caitlyn, Chloe and Bishop Lightfoot.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Henry Mann, JoAnn, Buddy, and William Lightfoot.

A memorial service will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384 on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
