Dear Cox Family,
Bart and I are saddened to hear about Tom.
Many of us arrived in The Woodlands at the same time over 40 years ago. Marion and Tom were such mainstays.
Bart and Tom served on the original YMCA Board together. 
Tom and I ended up in the same daylong defensive driving class which he always teased me about.
I remember taking Senior Prom photos at the Cox home in 1991. I could go on.
Your parents represented the best that The Woodlands has to offer.

I’m so sorry to hear about Mr. Cox’s passing. I know that God in Heaven received a beautiful soul. Mr. Cox out of the kindness of his heart and with the help of his family built a beautiful home for me and my disabled daughter in 2004. He will forever be in our hearts.

Where does one begin for someone that meant so much to so many?  I met “Tommy” before I met the love of my life “Ted” in the late 70’s when he purchased homesites from The Woodlands Dev. Corp. to begin a presidency of top quality homes. As time moved forward, he became a mentor, a dear friend, a partner in business ventures, an older brother….a very special person like no other.  He was always someone you could turn to, get advice from, get love from. count on for anything. Marion, shall we never forget her beautiful smile, wonderful words of encouragement, and also undying support even when she was fighting her own battles in health.  What a wonderful family that I shall cherish…always. They instilled such awesome tributes to their children and their love extends to everyone they meet.  My Love Is Unending For My Extended Cox Family! ❤️

We send our deepest condolences for the entire sweet Cox family.  Tom senior was such an amazing man that was so respected and loved by the entire Woodlands community that knew him.  He was a pillar in our hometown and Tom made it a better place by his endless contributions  through the years.  He had a  huge giving heart and never wanted credit or anything in return.  He was such a precious man that will be missed so dearly.  

Tom was a wonderful brother in-law. He was the first person to try to teach me how to drive. Pretty scary for him since I could hardly see over the dash and it was a standard. He and Marion included me in many of their outings and tried their best to get me out of my shell. I loved him very much and thought he was a wonderful husband to my sister and an awesome father.

Today is the day that we have to say goodbye for the final time. You were a man with a heart of gold and poured so much of yourself into the community that you built your life around. You were a great mentor and more than just a boss, you were our family. I understand that death is a part of life and as you would say, you were never scared of it. You lived an amazing life and accomplished so many things. I always loved to hear the stories. I could listen to you talk for hours, and quite often made the time to do just that. You have taught me so much in all the years I've known you and I feel very honored to have had you as a role model. For those of us who's lives you touched now have a such a huge void left behind. Things will never be same without you here but I can promise you that we'll always do our best to keep making you proud. Fly high Tom, you finally are at peace now and get to be with your sweet Marion. Gone but never to be forgotten. 💔

We are so saddened by Tom’s passing.  He was always a warm handshake, a joke and a heartfelt inquiry about you and your family. I never remember him being sullen or crabby!  It was fun to run into him in the community and was never a burden. His light and presence will be missed.  
PS- He built the best homes in The Woodlands!  We are privileged to own one!

Tom, you were a gentle and compassionate friend and it is an honor to live in one of your homes built especially for us. You always had an open minded response to our changes and said yes at every opportunity to accommodate our requests. We fell in love with you and enjoyed seeing you sitting in the back pew on Sundays. You always brought smiles to our hearts. You had a gift of caring for others and we are honored to call you our friend. 

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalms 116:15

Mr. Cox was a man of mercy, who showed mercy for Christ’s sake.  He gave generously of the blessings that God so richly blessed him.  His death is registered in heaven and is precious to God.

Family and friends, grieve if you must, but not as others who have no hope.  God promised, we who are alive at the coming of the LORD, will be caught up together with them to meet the LORD, and will always be with the LORD. 1 Thessalonians 4: 13, 15

I pray God’s peace will quieten your hearts and His presence gives you strength during this difficult season.

I meet Tom in 1978. He built the first home that I  purchased in The Woodlands.  My husband sold many of his homes.
We shared lots of activities & special occasions during the time our children were in school. 
Tom contributed so much to the community. His legacy will live on.

This man here is the reason I am alive and doing well today. My condolences to his family and I pray for comfort and peace. May God bless you. 

My thoughts and prayers are with Tom's soul and with his and Marion's family. May God grant Tom and Marion eternal rest and peace and bless their family with consolation and strength now and in the days ahead.

Tom was a very nice man and devoted to his family and his late wife, Marion McGoey Cox.  Marion was my first cousin and she always spoke lovingly of her dear husband, Tom, who took  wonderful care of her during her battles with cancer. May Tom and Marion reunite in God's eternal kingdom. He missed Marion so much, Thank God he has finally joined her in their heavenly home. Tom was a great human being and I’m sure the family will miss him. I’m sorry for your loss and I’m praying for the family.

There are no words to describe the far reaching impact of Mr. Tom Cox.  I am beyond blessed to have known him and his wonderful family.  His memory, and indeed his legacy will live on not only in the hearts of all who knew him, but with all who pass through the doors of Tom Cox Intermediate.  Rest in Peace Mr. Cox knowing you are loved by so many.  

He is the purest man I’ve ever me. He built my home . Grace and brilliance. Only one better was his wife ….7th place was his son. 

Tom was a force in the community for more than 40 years. He  made things happen, always with giving to others as his primary motive.
His love for Marion and his family was evident in every conversation.  
Tom was a true friend who will be missed.



Tom was a great guy,  a wonderful Husband and devoted Father. 

My greatest memory of Tom was our trip to Israel    .Tom had a high intellect and a great sense of humor.  A unique combination. He was a special guy.  May God bless him
