Terri Davis Norwood was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 29, 2024. She was born on November 20, 1955 in Oklahoma City to Bob and Uvonne “Bonnie” Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Scott Robert Davis.
Terri was an incredibly loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, friend, and especially the best Meme in the world to her three beautiful granddaughters, who she absolutely adored. Her Love, Faith and Kindness were unmatched; she was a beacon of hope in dark times for countless friends and family members. She will be missed deeply by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Terri loved cooking big breakfasts at her Wimberley ranch with the entire family, spending time with her many dear friends, and doing her Wordle with her grandchildren. She also loved watching romantic Hallmark movies - and believed her beloved husband was better than any Hallmark hunk – perhaps love does make us blind.
Terri and her husband Randy founded Alliance Payroll Services in 1989 by standing up a folding table in their living room and declaring themselves open for business. Terri would key in the payrolls and print them on an old dot matrix printer while Randy walked the street knocking on doors. She would also load up their two toddlers to deliver payrolls when needed. Terri insisted all of the Alliance customers would have their home phone number so they knew they could get in touch with Randy and Terri anytime. And they did call!
Terri was a member of The Woodlands Methodist Church for over 30 years where she served on the advisory board. She was also a devoted member of Community Bible Study, where she held a number of leadership positions for many years. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and helped many people deepen their relationship with God through CBS. She always stood for Love over hate, Faith over fear, and Fellowship over division. May we all come to know Jesus as she knew Him.
Terri is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Randy Norwood, daughter Lindsay Norwood Stokey and husband Patrick, son Brett Norwood, her three beautiful granddaughters Sage, Brooke, and Lane Stokey, and sister Toni Smith and husband Chipper. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and too many loving friends to even begin to count.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the main sanctuary of the Woodlands Methodist Church, 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive at 11am on Friday, January 3. Immediately following, the family welcomes friends to share their favorite Terri stories at a meet and greet in Wesley Hall at the church.
For those desiring, contributions to Big Brothers and Sisters of Houston or Angel Reach in her memory are appreciated. These causes were very dear to her heart.
