Suzan Elizabeth Musgrove Doty went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the evening of November 22, 2016, after a valiant battle against colon cancer. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family members.
Suzan was born May 9, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the first child of Rev. Alvin and Elva Musgrove, followed by her three siblings. She married Craig Doty on April, 1983, and in their 33 years together, had three children.
Suzan was active in her community, starting as a volunteer for Montgomery ISD and the 4-H Club while her children were in school. Later, she worked many years for the Montgomery County Fair Association, and was a life-time member of the MCFA. In the spring of 2012, she and her husband Craig opened C & S Feed and Farm Supply, fulfilling a dream to own their own business and staying a part of the agricultural community that was such a big part of their lives. Suzan was also a charter member of Living Savior Lutheran Church in Montgomery, TX.
Throughout her 58 years, Suzan enjoyed gardening, raising animals, and spending time with her family and friends. Many of those friends supported her and her family throughout her battle with cancer and treatments at Millennium Oncology. Her family would like to thank the staff and all the many friends and family for their tremendous love and encouragement during this three-year journey.
Suzan is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ervin and Sophie Sanders, Alvin and Leona Musgrove, Craig's grandparents William Thomas, Gail Thomas, and Gail Doty, her sister-in-law. She is survived by her loving husband, Craig, their children Cameron, Kelsey, and Carson, her parents Rev. Alvin and Elva Musgrove, her husband's parents Richard and Elizabeth Doty, her sister Celeste and husband Donald May, her sister Colette Lau, her brother Jeff and wife Cecilia Musgrove, her sister-in-law Kim and husband John Baker, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to be sent to the Montgomery County Fair Association. A celebration of her life will begin with a visitation on Friday, November 25, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and concluding Saturday, November 26, 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park Funeral Home in the Woodlands, TX.
