I was very sorry to learn of Sherilyn death. It has been many years since I have seen any of you. Looking at all  the pictures brings back a lot of fond memories. I grew up on Hendon and used to babysit the kids. I also went on a few vacations with the family to Kansas. I always enjoyed being around Sherilyn, her joy for life and her love for her family helped shape me into who I am today. My thoughts and prayer are with you all.

Sherilyn has taught me what it is to be a good parent, through her example of understanding, patients and kindness.  She has touched countless lives with the love she has given so freely from her heart.  She will always be a part of me, in my memories and my heart.  We love you Sherilyn.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Sherilyn and I were friends since the 2nd grade.  Most of the trouble that we got in, we were together.  We have lost touch over the years, but I still think about her often.  I will miss her

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother.  She sounds like she was a great mom, wife, and friend.

Sherilyn and I grew up in Lakeview in Port Arthur, went to Travis Elementary and graduated TJ in '65. She was a treasure and a precious friend. She will be missed.

Sherilyn and I have been friends for over 25 years.  We were tennis partners for many of those years and eked out many wins.  Sherilyn never gave up in a tennis match just as she fought long and hard to overcome cancer.  She was devoted to Dan and to her children and grandchildren above all else. We all feel this terrible loss.

Sherilyn and I have been friends for over 25 years.  We were tennis partners for many years, and we always seemed to be able to eke out a win.  She was tenacious and never a quitter as she exhibited in her struggle with cancer. She fought bravely right up to the end.  I will miss her terribly. I hope there will be lots of Martinis and lots of olives in Heaven for her to  enjoy.

I wanna share a little something that Mrs. Vogel did for me several years ago. When Daniel & I were living together he came home with this nice black & yellow duffle bag that had wheels on it & was great for travelling. I asked Daniel where he got it & he said his mom got it for him. A few days later Daniel came home with a new duffle bag just like his, but for me. He said his mom had bought it for me. To this day, I still have that bag & think of Mrs. Vogel everytime I use it. I'm so glad to have met the Vogel Family & still be part of their lives. My thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Sherilyn was one of the kindest individuals I ever had the honor of knowing.  She always put her family's needs before her own and was proud to do so.  While she is no longer physically with us, she is here in spirit watching in pride how she contributed herself to so many people. "I am not going to die, I am going home like a shooting star"....My love to all the Vogels and Sherilyn's extended family and friends.

I’m sorry for your loss.You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I am Aunt Joyce's youngest daughter, Bonnie. I have many wonderful memories of Sherilyn when we were young. She and Sharon were the oldest of the grandchildren and I always looked up to them. I remember going to Houston to help babysit Chris when he was brand new. Sherilyn always made me laugh and feel like I was important. I will miss her.Please accept my sympathy. Losing my Mother is the hardest thing I have been though. My heart goes out to all of you durng this difficult time.

It has been a honor to have Sherilyn in my life the past 12 years. She was the best friend I could have asked for.  She was always there thru the good times as well as the bad. It has been a privilege to be by her side as she fought so hard battling her illness. I never once heard her complain, she was always more concerned about her family and friends. I will miss her so much. Thank you for letting me be part of your family as you went thru this very difficult time. My love and sympathy goes out to you all.

No one could see the wings she hid so well, to be an Angel here on Earth should be an inspiration to all who met Mrs. Vogel through her journey here on Earth. She now is in the arms of our Father and her Father. May peace come and be with her family at this time. Many thoughts and prayers from the Hardt Family.

Sherilyn was one of the most kind individuals I have ever known.  Her easy going personality and great laugh made it a pleasure for all to be around her and I feel it was my privilege to have known her.
