She was born in Houston on October 16, 1947. Sandy graduated from Reagan High School and received a Bachelor of Science from Texas Women’s University.
She was married to John Wayne Loofs on March 16, 1965.
Sandy had a special gift for loving and taking care of people. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at many hospitals including MD Anderson, University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, Spring Branch Hospital, Scott & White Hospital, Memorial Herman, and St. David’s Hospital.
Sandy had a passion for food, wine, and travel, but most of all for her family and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, father, and three siblings.
She is survived by her husband, John Loofs, son, Rick Loofs and wife Trudy, daughter, Laura Henderson, grandsons, Ryan, Tyler, Royal, Christopher, and Jacob, her brother ML Talbott, sister-in-law Lucy and husband Ray Ward, sister-in-law Nancy and husband Harvey Hickman, and numerous nieces, nephews.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 2pm, February 20, 2019, at Forest Park The Woodlands, 18000 Interstate 45. Visitation will be held at the same location from 10am – 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
