Born on September 26, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky, Ron dedicated his life to his family, his country, and his work. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he found great pride in his service and love for his country. After his military service, he built a successful career in construction management, leaving a lasting impact on the industry and the many lives he touched.
A man who loved his family and sacrificed for them like no one else, Ron was known for his unwavering support, kindness, and commitment. He was also known for his integrity, which guided every aspect of his life and earned him the respect of all who knew him. He cherished time spent with his loved ones, particularly during family trips to the beach, where he shared his love of sailing Hobie Cats. He also had a passion for fishing, whether it be freshwater, saltwater, and even fly fishing. These moments by the water created lasting memories and strengthened the bond with his family.
A true blue Kentucky Wildcats fan, Ron's love for the team ran deep, and his enthusiasm for their games was infectious. Whether watching from home or attending games, he celebrated every victory and felt each loss with them, his connection to the Wildcats being a source of joy and pride throughout his life.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Linda Ryan, as well as his parents, Conrey and Mildred Ryan, and his half brother, John Ryan. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Mesler (Nathan), his son, Christopher Ryan, his grandchildren, Kaelyn Mesler and Grace Jennings-Mesler, his brother, Conrey “Buzz” Ryan, and his sister, Annette Boggs.
Visitation for Ron will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 9AM at Forest Park The Woodlands, 18000 Interstate 45S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Funeral service will follow at 10AM at Forest Park The Woodlands Chapel along with burial in the cemetery.
