Randall was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. He was born in Savannah, Georgia, on May 31, 1959, to Jo Ann and Gilbert Hataway. Randall (Randy) graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Industrial Management.
He married Amy Nabors on September 6, 1980.
Randall had a career in Business Systems and Information Technology. One of Randall’s main goals through his career was to develop others and greatly enjoyed seeing them succeed.
In his early years Randall loved baseball, family vacations to Fontana Village and outings on the family boat. Later in his life he enjoyed visiting the Smoky Mountains and spending time with his family and his grandson. Randall enjoyed college sports, particularly the Auburn Tigers.
His proudest family memories were watching his children grow from typical little boys to fine young men with his best friend and wife Amy by his side. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Lynch, Thyra Evelyn Johnson, Nina and Gilbert Hataway Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Hataway; sons, Daniel Craig Hataway, Joshua Paul Hataway and his wife Anna; brother, Mark Wayne Hataway and his wife Jimi; and one grandchild, Mateo Daniel Hataway; his parents, Jo Ann and Gilbert Hataway Jr.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home.
