Penny grew up in Minneapolis. She was a graduate University of Minnesota’s College of Liberal Arts with a degree in Italian. She lived in California, Oregon, and finally Texas. Penny enjoyed travel, cooking, and collecting antiques. She was very accomplished at cross stitch and loved reading mysteries. Her grandchildren were truly special to her.
She was preceded in by her father, Richard Eide. She is survived by her mother Mary Eide, her brother Dick Eide, her husband John McClintock, her children Nicole Sahl, Rebecca Sahl, Anne Hill, Mike McClintock, and Barbara McClintock, and her grandchildren Maddie and Max Hill.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch, The Woodlands, Texas 77381. There will be an additional service for Penny in the next few weeks in the Minneapolis area.
