Patricia “Patsy” Ann Ludlam, age 66, passed away on Thursday, February 28th, at West Houston Methodist Hospital in Katy, Texas. She was happily employed as an Office Manager until cancer treatments required her to take a leave of absence. Her time at EEPB was in one of her most enjoyable work environments and she often spoke of the high caliber of professional and personal relationships she built there. She was also a woman of deep faith and personally held beliefs, resulting in a life filled with hard work, purpose, and humility. Beyond her work and faith, she had a lifelong passion for acquiring knowledge, enjoying time with her family, and creating beautiful pieces of art…whether needlework, painting or sewing.
Patsy had a large and extended family, and was predeceased by her husband, Richard R. Ludlam, Jr.; her father, Dr. Jack Pry; and her eldest sister, Joyce Thessing Cowan. She is survived by her loving mother, Polly Pry of Friendswood, TX, and her baby sister, Nancy Seymour Sandhop of Pearland, TX. She was proud of her unique and eclectic children, Wendy Zacchio, Sarah Avina, and Molly Pillow; held lasting memories of her stepchildren, Robin Sirkin, Rebecca Williams, and Matthew Ludlam; and joyfully engaged with her numerous beloved grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
She was given the best of medical care, attention and emotional support by the doctors, nurses and staff of West Houston Methodist Hospital in her final weeks. She will be missed by family and friends alike.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home.
