

Patricia Ann Shaper Gandy passed away peacefully on September 13, 2023 at her home in Conroe, Texas. Patricia was born in Natchez, MS on August 14, 1938. She graduated from Taylor High School and was a proud Duck. She attended North Texas University where she met the love of her life, J.B. on a Valentine's Day blind date. Patricia worked in several industries, ranging from The Texas Highway Dept, Fish Engineering and Construction, Cities Service Oil Company, and various management positions at Gandy Companies. She had a passion for gardening and spent her spare time feeding animals and observing butterflies.
Patricia was a woman of God and instilled this commitment to faith throughout her family. Her dedication to her family was second to none and her love was unconditional. She was the first to congratulate you on a good day and there with a warm embrace on the difficult ones. Her kindness also extended into the community, as she was a devoted volunteer with special needs organizations. There are special people in your life that will never leave you even after they're gone. Our hearts will forever remain full of these treasured memories, ensuring Patricia's legacy will live on.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, George and Zella Shaper; son, John Allen Gandy; brother, Reginald Shaper and wife, Diane; father-in-law, John Bunyon Gandy, Sr, and wife, Jackie Nolan Gandy; brother-in-law Ralph Gandy, and son-in-law, Christopher Scott Paris. She is survived by her husband, John Bunyon Gandy, Jr. of the home; daughter, Jaycie Ann Gandy Paris; brother-in-law, Larry Gandy; sister-in-law, Lana Benton; sister-in-law, Linda Silkey; and husband, Sam; sister, Rebeka Jane Edwards and husband, David; niece, Kristi Fowler and husband, Mark; niece, Amy Boothe and husband, Lawson; grandson, Christopher John Paris and wife, Christi; grandson, Jarrod Allen Paris and wife, Adrian; great-grandchildren, Christopher Parker Paris, Patricia Lois Paris, June Lily Paris, and a host of many other loving family and friends. A visitation for Patricia will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. Her funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in The Grand Hall at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, with her graveside service to follow at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. A reception will follow immediately after in the R.L. Wood Reception Hall at Forest Park The Woodlands.
