Molly is survived by her parents, Andrew and Jill LeBlanc. Molly is also survived by her grandparents, Randall and Ann Smith of Denham Springs, LA and Mary Eileen LeBlanc of Metairie, LA, her aunts and uncles, Daniel and Amanda LeBlanc, William and Eileen Van Geertruyden, Timothy and Maggie LeBlanc, Joseph and Jennifer Yale, and Jason and Sarah Smith. She will be forever missed by her cousins, Marcelle LeBlanc, Ava LeBlanc, Hendrik Van Geertruyden, Arthur Van Geertruyden, Anna Kate Yale, Avery Yale, Luka Smith, and Niko Smith. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Denis LeBlanc.
Molly was diagnosed with Autosomal Recessive Polycystic Kidney Disease prior to her birth. She battled kidney and liver disease valiantly for 4 years, 4 months, and 24 days. Molly was a smart, funny, loving little girl who made friends everywhere she went. She loved her dog, Dobby, her cousins, Texas Children’s Family, and most of all her mom and dad. Molly was a beloved fixture at Texas Children’s Hospital. The doctors, nurses, and support staff were her best buddies and biggest supporters. Molly will forever be remembered as a bright light and an example of hope and love.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that contributions in Molly Mae's memory be directed to Texas Children's Hospital, Office of Development, Ste. 5214 PO Box 300630, Houston, TX 77230-0630. waystogive.texaschildrens.org. The hospital graciously wishes to carry on Molly's legacy. Donations will be used to benefit the child life program and to create a nursing scholarship in Molly Mae’s name.
