Mike was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, and at the age of 3 moved to Schenectady, New York. He was a Boy Scout, played football in high school as defensive end, his beloved number 86, and was a member of his school ski team. Mike graduated from Scotia Glenville High School in Scotia, NY and attended Athens College in Athens, Alabama. Since 1977 he was a resident of Texas.
He is survived by two sons, Jonathan Saville and Eric Saville (Rachel) of Spring, Texas. In addition, he is survived by his parents, Anna F. Saville and John E. Saville of Scotia, NY, a brother Brad Saville (Kim), of Saratoga Springs, NY and a sister, Amy Hutchison (John) of Scotia, NY, nephews David Hutchison of Pontiac, MI, Larry Saville (Nicole) and niece Cinnamon Sollecito, of Burnt Hills NY, his aunt Lorrayne Jones (J.D.) of Madisonville, KY and many cousins. He was truly loved by all his family and we will miss him. An annual family gathering in Cape Cod, MA will never be the same without him.
Michael was an employee of Schlumberger and looked forward to returning to work. Favorite activities were fishing, sports, camping and whale watching on Cape Cod.
Services for Mr. Saville will be held Wednesday May 7th at the Forest Park Funeral Home, Woodlands, TX. Viewing hours are from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, with a memorial service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Forest Park cemetery.
