Mary Welch

A Celebration of Life service for Mary Welch will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 in the Grand Hall at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 S, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.

Mary, age 67, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Mary was born September 18, 1955 in Pensacola, Florida. She spent most of her early life in San Diego, California. She studied accounting at San Diego State University and UC-Santa Barbara.

Mary devoted her life to her children, Rob and Katey, raising them across the United States in California, Utah, Oklahoma, and Texas. She loved her grandchildren immensely and spent as much time as she could with them in Colorado.

Throughout her life Mary enjoyed nature and gardening, and had a love for animals, especially dogs. She was a loving, generous, and humble mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Mary recently retired from Spring ISD as the Director of Accounting.

Mary is preceded in death by her father, Wardell “Bosco” Welch of Wyoming/San Diego. Mary is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Katey Baltensperger and her husband Jake of Westminster, Colorado; her grandsons, Silas, Arden, and Warren of Westminster, Colorado; her son, Rob and his wife Whitney of Austin; her husband, Bob Harris of The Woodlands; her mother, Frances Hartung of The Woodlands; her sister, Kathy McLean and her husband David of Kenmore, Washington; her brother, Brad Welch and his wife Marjorie of Eugene, Oregon; her stepdaughter, Kelli Gershon and her husband Jason of The Woodlands; her step-granddaughters, Kathryn, Kasey, and Karly of The Woodlands.
