Mary Elaine Fletcher was born on September 13, 1944 in Houston to parents Joe and Dorothy Christopher Fletcher. She passed away on November 16, 2019 in Conroe after a 6-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Mary attended Lanier Jr. High and Lamar Sr. High, graduating in 1963. She worked at TIRR in the Medical Center. She had a great love for the patients, especially the children with Cystic Fibrosis. She also worked several years at Shell Development.
Mary met Bob Linn on a blind date, and they married in 1966 after a 3-year courtship. Mary loved being a wife and also loved being a mother to her 2 sons. She was active in their school. She volunteered in many other services, including Meals on Wheels, Texas Children’s Hospital, the Neighborhood Watch Program, and was active in her church.
Mary was a tiny little firecracker, combined with a heart of gold. She loved and was loved by many. She gave of herself generously and was always ready to help anyone who needed it. She will be missed by her loved ones.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Joe Fletcher, and her sister Sue Ritz. She is survived by her husband, her son Greg of Conroe; her son Steven and wife Marcia of Huntsville, Alabama; and his son Casey, daughter Shelby, and great-granddaughter Leia of Diamondhead, Mississippi; and her sister Lin Marchitelli and husband Mike and their son Michael, brother-in-law Bob Ritz; and many nieces and nephews. Mary is also survived by her good friend Di Caseras, who she met in cooking class in 1962, and Jolene Lambert.
Services are to be held at Forest Park – The Woodlands on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 11:00 am with a viewing prior to the service at 10:00 am.
