Mary Kay Ellington of Spring, Texas, passed away at home surrounded by her family, on Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on September 22, 1936, to Benjamin C. and Leslie M. Roth.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Ellington; their 3 children, Janet (Dennis) Howe; Michael (Laurie) Ellington; Patty Anderson and Marcus; grandchildren, Mike Baudat; Courtney (Spencer) Ehlert; Shawn (Trudy) Pickens; Megan (Michael) Vann; Candice Anderson; Austin Hutchins; Matt (Rachel) Howe; Aaron (Joanna) Howe. They have 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Paul Madeley, and sister-in-law, Joyce Ellington.
Mary Kay spent a lifetime loving her husband, Bobby, who she knew since she was 8 years old. They would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on May 27. Throughout their life together, they were an amazing couple who loved and cared for their family above all else. She loved having her family together, cooking holiday meals, attending and helping with kids’ and grandkids’ activities, and gardening. Mary Kay was always willing to help others in need and never thought of herself. She will be missed by so many friends and family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 19, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place in Forest Park’s chapel on Friday, April 20, at 2 p.m. with a reception immediately following in the event room.
