Marjorie Ehrlich Liss, known as "Margie" by friends was born in NYC on March 11, 1920. Her parents were Russian immigrants seeking a better life in America. Her family moved to Morristown, N.J. where she lived most of her life. It was there that she met Harold Liss who was on a leave from the Air Force and they were married when he returned after the war. At that time she worked as a secretary for the U.S. Treasury in Washington, D.C. but returned to Morristown after her marriage which lasted 54 years until the death of her husband in 2001,. She loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She also loved dogs and enjoyed their company. She moved to Houston in 1997 and lived at the Terrace at Willowbrook. She is survived by her son, Barry Jeffrey Liss and his companion, Wesley Howard Goble; Marianne Ehrlich, niece; cousins Alice Steinberg and Joyce Kannry; and an extended circle of friends. Her warm smile, friendly nature, and humorous wit will be missed by all.
