She was born in México on May 9, 1947. She was married to Gregorio Balderas on December 16, 1967.
She was a member of the Catholic Charismatic Center, had a passion for telling people about Jesus and loving her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomasa and Jaime Gonzalez.
She was survived by her husband, Gregorio Balderas; her children, Liliana M. Cantu (husband, Mark Cantu), Greg Balderas (wife, Ami Balderas), Luis M. Balderas (wife, Amelia Balderas) and Lorena Adrogué (husband, Marcos Adrogué); her grandchildren, Ryan Cantu, Matthew Cantu, Nathan Cantu, Grace Cantu, Noelle Balderas, Avery Balderas, Kendall Balderas, Sarah Balderas, Alessandra Adrogué, Lissette Adrogué, Marcos E. Adrogué and Mateo Adrogué.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384 followed by a funeral service on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at Forest Park The Woodlands. Maria will be laid to rest in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
