Laura Patrice Church Lemus

Laura was born in Jonesboro, Louisiana on July 19,1974. She grew up in Ruston and attended Ruston High.

Laura was an incredible mom and a loving wife. She was intelligent, caring, and most of all she was so funny and made the best jokes. Laura always looked for the best in things and always stayed positive.

Laura worked in sales for most of her life. Laura had a passion for photography, traveling, and cooking. She loved the holidays and spending time with her family. Holidays were her favorite time of year.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Haley Sinead McWhorter, age 10. Her mother Margaret Lynn Church, age 49, and her father Donnie Stinson.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years and partner for 23 years, Juan Carlos Lemus. Her son, Jared Lemus. Her daughter Maggie Elena Lemus. Her aunts, Barbara Church and Elizabeth Robinson. Her Grandfather, Rayford Church.

A memorial service for Laura will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384, followed by a reception from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
